Recently, GTT said that the company has received orders from Hyundai Heavy Industries Co., Ltd. to equip one LNG ship it built with the Mark III Flex containment system.
It is reported that Hyundai Heavy Industries will build a 180,000 cubic meter LNG ship for Norwegian NORSPAN LNG XI AS (Knutsen) shipping company, with a delivery period of 2019.
Knutsen Shipping has long-running LNG ships equipped with GTT's containment system and has 10 ships equipped with GTT's containment system.
This is the first order for the Mark III Flex containment system for the LNG ship that GTT has undertaken this year.
According to GTT, the LNG ship will be equipped with a Mark III Flex containment system to provide effective insulation to ensure that the daily gas evaporation rate is reduced to 0.085% of the tank volume.
