American Axle Manufacturing Company Amar Corp. announced the company’s financial report for the first quarter of the year. The details are as follows. In the first quarter, AAM’s sales were US$751.5 million, a year-on-year increase of 16.4%, of which Non-GM’s sales were US$193.6 million, a year-on-year increase of 8.5%. AAM's gross profit for the first quarter was $139.2 million, accounting for 18.5% of sales; operating profit was $77.4 million, accounting for 10.3% of sales. In the first quarter, AAM’s net profit was US$51.2 million, and its profit per share was US$0.68; net profit for the same period last year was US$37.7 million, and its profit per share was US$0.50.
