The purchase tax incentives for the most stimulating policies in promoting the growth of car sales will be abolished next year, while the energy-saving subsidies policy for Huimin, which has a displacement of less than 1.6L, will continue. A few days ago, the relevant person in charge of the Department of Industrial Coordination of the National Development and Reform Commission spoke: As the rigid demand and potential for domestic auto consumption have gradually increased, the purchase tax preferential policy will definitely be cancelled next year.

In 2009, in order to promote automobile consumption, the relevant authorities reduced the purchase tax for passenger vehicles with a displacement of 1.6 liters or less to 5%. From 2010, the preferential policies for small-displacement vehicles have been adjusted to 1.6L or less (including 1.6L). The purchase tax is levied at 7.5% and will expire on December 31st. In the past two years since the implementation of the policy, the sales of small-displacement vehicles have drastically increased, which has led China to surpass the United States and become the world's largest automobile market. Thanks to a series of related policies, passenger cars of 1.6L and below sold 841,200 vehicles in October, a 2.17% increase from the previous quarter and an increase of 28.15% year-on-year, accounting for nearly 70% of the total passenger cars.

Previously, it was reported that the energy-saving subsidies for the 3,000-yuan Huimin energy-saving models below 1.6L will also be stopped at the end of this year. However, on December 3, the three ministries and commissions of the National Development and Reform Commission, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, and the Ministry of Finance jointly announced the fourth batch of energy-saving vehicle promotion catalogues. Sixty-six car models from 17 automakers were listed on the list. Rumors will not be broken and will not be cancelled at least in the short term. At this point, a total of 272 models of a total of four energy-saving promotion car catalogs were completed.
