The EJK211 roving machine, a cutting-edge digital four-motor variable frequency drive system independently developed by Shanghai Second Textile Machinery Co., Ltd. of Pacific Electromechanical Group, has made significant contributions to China's textile machinery industry. This newly launched model, equipped with proprietary intellectual property, features four high-performance motors that directly power the flyer, bobbin, roller, and dragon ribs, enabling precise control through an advanced computerized system. The machine’s inverter units are synchronized according to pre-set process curves, ensuring optimal performance and placing it at the forefront of domestic technology. Over recent years, after extensive market research and collaboration with Austria’s B&R Industrial Automation Shanghai Branch and key cotton spinning enterprises, the company successfully introduced a new generation of highly automated and intelligent digital textile machinery. Two standout innovations include the use of an electronic iron cannon instead of the traditional mechanical one, allowing for more accurate tension control via B&R’s advanced PPC program controller. This enables precise calculation of motion formulas and fine-tuning of the winding motor speed to maintain consistent yarn tension. Additionally, the machine features power-off synchronization, utilizing motor-generated electricity to keep the PCC controller operational briefly after a power failure, ensuring smooth and stable stopping without disrupting production or affecting yarn tension. During the past two years, user feedback has consistently praised the EJK211’s innovative design and performance. By integrating technologies such as fieldbus communication, computer control, and opto-mechatronics, the machine significantly enhances its automation and intelligence levels. Its four motors directly drive the flyer, bobbin, roller, and dragon ribs, while the computer controls the inverters to manage speed and synchronization. This allows the spindle to reach up to 1500 rpm, greatly improving the flexibility and precision of the spinning process. The new transmission system for the flyer and bobbin uses timing belts to form a compact 6-spindle flyer and 3-spindle tube group, making the structure simple and easy to adjust. The tensioning pulley ensures smooth synchronization, reducing noise and vibration while increasing both speed and stability. The machine also employs high-efficiency motors and a DC common bus control system, enabling precise synchronous operation at 1500 rpm with energy consumption below 10 kW. A touch-screen interface allows for intuitive human-machine interaction, with intelligent configuration of process parameters and full digital segmentation control for roving tension adjustment, making it easier to adapt to different materials and conditions. After being showcased at major textile machinery exhibitions both domestically and internationally, the EJK211 roving frame has gained widespread recognition. It now has a growing customer base in key textile provinces such as Shandong and Henan, achieving the target of selling over 100 units in these regions.
