According to the latest foreign news sources, Hyundai Motor Co., Ltd.'s commercial vehicle exports in the first half of this year have set new records both in terms of components and vehicles.

According to statistics released by the Korean factory, the export performance of commercial vehicles such as modern heavy-duty vehicles and passenger cars in the first half of the year increased by 75.9% from the first half of last year to 16,791 units, the highest since the establishment of the plant.

From 2003 to 2005, the number of Hyundai Motors' commercial vehicle and truck exports was 11,302, 15,475, and 19,494 respectively, which represented a trend of growth in the past five years. In 2007, the number of full-scale trucks and buses reached 220,255. New record high.

In addition, in the first half of 2008, the export volume of trucks was 13,137 units, an increase of 73.9% compared with the same period of last year. Passenger car exports increased by 83.5% to 3,654 units; in addition, the total CKD assembly export volume reached 7,094 units/group, compared to the first half of 2007. Compared with the 94.9% increase, the total commercial vehicle export performance for the first half of 2008, which was added to the total vehicle and CKD, increased by 81.2% to 23,885 units.

In addition to heavy-duty commercial vehicles, the performance of mid-sized and light commercial vehicles in the first half of this year also rose.
