Abs plastic injection molding process conditions:
Injection temperature: 180 ~ 270 ° C (suitable processing temperature range 220 ~ 250); (note plug machine, furnace temperature is maintained at 180 ~ 230; screw machine, furnace temperature is maintained at 160 ~ 220)
Mold temperature: general mold temperature is 65-85 °C. When producing parts with large projection area, the mold temperature requires 70-80, and the dynamic mold temperature requires 50-60. (The mold temperature will affect the smoothness of the plastic parts, and the temperature will be lower. Lead to a lower finish).
Injection pressure: Use a higher injection pressure.
Injection speed: medium to high speed.
Feed volume control: each injection is only 75% of the standard injection volume
Abs engineering plastics have excellent comprehensive properties, excellent impact strength, dimensional stability, electrical properties, wear resistance, chemical resistance, dyeability, molding processing and mechanical processing. Abs resin is resistant to water, inorganic salts, alkalis and acids, is insoluble in most alcohols and hydrocarbon solvents, and is readily soluble in aldehydes, ketones, esters and certain chlorinated hydrocarbons.
Disadvantages of abs engineering plastics: low heat distortion temperature, flammable, and poor weather resistance.
ABS flame retardant additive
Phosphorus, halogenated organics and some inorganic compounds have good flame retardant effects on ABS plastics. Among them, inorganic flame retardants need to be added in ABS to reach 40% or more, and have obvious effects. Large amount, so it will seriously damage the physical and mechanical properties of ABS. Phosphorus-based flame retardants are rare in variety and quantity, and most of them are liquid and low-melting compounds, which are not suitable for ABS granulation processing. Therefore, the flame retardant system for ABS is mainly a halogen-based flame retardant, and the best flame retardant effect is a bromine-containing organic compound such as decabromodiphenyl ether (DBDPO) or tetrabromobisphenol A.
