The reporter learned from the Second Institute of China Aerospace Science and Industry Corporation on April 11, 2014 that the coal logistics Beidou vehicle information system and Beidou vehicle terminal undertaken by the 706 Institute of the Institute had recently been successfully run at a mining group in Jinzhong City, Shanxi Province. This is the first logistics information operation platform in China that uses the Internet of Things Beidou satellite technology. According to the State Council's "Regulations for the Adjustment and Revitalization of the Logistics Industry" and the "Twelfth Five-Year Plan for the Development of the Shanxi Coal Industry Informatization," 706 institutes strategic cooperation with relevant government departments and coal companies in Shanxi Province, using the Internet of Things and Beidou satellite applications. The scientific research strengths in the field have taken the lead in researching the coal logistics Beidou vehicle networking information system and accelerating the application of the Internet of Things Beidou satellite technology in coal logistics. The system consists of a number of subsystems, including the vehicle registration management system, logistics planning management system, coal shipment management system, on-the-spot monitoring management system, and coal offload management system. Each sub-system through the integrated service information platform, with the Beidou vehicle coal logistics command and dispatch center for real-time linkage, to achieve accurate statistics of coal production and transport volume, the electronic supervision of coal vouchers, real-time monitoring of coal vehicle operating conditions, and coal vehicle rapid customs clearance inspection.
