In order to improve the concentration effect, a weak cationic flocculant (molecular weight > 5 million) was added to the thickener. After adding the flocculant, although the overflow of the thickener was reduced, the water content of the filter cake was further increased.

In order to solve the existing problem of dehydration of copper concentrates, Daye Iron Mine decided to start with transforming the filter. After on-site examination, we believe that there are indeed many problems in the current copper concentrate filter. The prominent structure of the filter fan is irrational. A considerable part of the filter fan can not be immersed in the pulp, but exposed to the air, reducing the filter The vacuum degree reduces the effective filtering area again; the filter fan is of wood, low in strength, easily damaged, and structurally disadvantageous; in configuration, it is a vacuum pump with two filters, the amount of pumping is small; the liquid surface of the filter tank is biased Low, but also reduce the filter area and vacuum; use of multi-filament polyester filter cloth, the filtrate concentration is high; the spindle speed is not fixed and so on. However, most of these problems can be improved through transformation. Therefore, it was decided to transform a copper concentrate filter first and then promote it later.
