Zhejiang Xinji New Material Co., Ltd. has recently started construction on its gas-phase white carbon black production project located in Kaihua County, Ganzhou. The first phase of the project is expected to be completed by August this year. This new facility is a joint venture between Guangzhou JiBaiSheng Technology Industrial Co., Ltd. and Zhejiang XinAn Chemical Group KaiHua Synthetic Materials Co., Ltd. Together, the two companies have invested 100 million yuan to build a 5,000-ton-per-year fumed silica production line.
Once operational, the project is anticipated to generate an additional annual sales revenue of 180 million yuan and increase profits and taxes by 50 million yuan. This will position Zhejiang Xinji New Materials as a key domestic producer of gas-phase white carbon, benefiting from economies of scale.
The fumed silica project utilizes by-products from the silicone monomer production of Zhejiang XinAn Chemical Group Kaihua Synthetic Materials. Specifically, hydrogen chloride generated during the white carbon production process is recycled back to the monomer plant for use in silane synthesis. This closed-loop system supports clean production, resource efficiency, and the development of a circular economy.
The project aligns with national industrial policies and China’s sustainable development goals. It not only enhances resource utilization but also contributes positively to the growth of the organic silicon industry in the country. With its environmentally friendly approach and economic viability, the project sets a strong example for future industrial developments.
