A version of this letter was featured in Autodesk’s FY22 Impact Report. Forty years ago, a group of passionate technologists set out to change the world. They believed that making design tools more accessible would empower industries and communities alike. That vision has guided Autodesk through decades of innovation, growth, and transformation—while staying true to its core values. Today, technology is more than just a tool—it's a force for good. It can help us measure, manage, and reduce carbon emissions, improve global health, and create opportunities for people everywhere. As the world faces complex challenges like climate change, economic instability, and social inequality, our role becomes even more critical. We are committed to using our expertise to drive meaningful, long-term impact. This year, we’ve made significant strides in advancing our impact strategy. But there’s still much work to do. Through our operations, customer partnerships, and industry leadership, we’re working to build a more sustainable, inclusive, and resilient future. Our goal is not only to meet today’s needs but to shape the world of tomorrow. Autodesk’s impact strategy includes how we improve our operations, partner with customers, and advance industries. This report highlights our progress and approach across these key areas. By focusing on sustainability, inclusivity, and innovation, we aim to support not just our business, but the broader community and environment we all share. Every step forward helps us better serve our customers and contribute to a more equitable world. We are committed to leading by example. Our Carbon Fund supports our net-zero goals, and we've increased our internal carbon price to reflect real-world market conditions. We're also making progress on our diversity and inclusion initiatives, ensuring that our workplace reflects the values we stand for. With stronger governance and accountability, we’re addressing ESG issues more effectively than ever before. By working closely with our customers, we help them solve some of the most pressing challenges of today. From designing energy-efficient buildings to managing water resources, our tools empower them to make a difference. Last year, we introduced new features like microclimate analysis and digital twin solutions, helping customers scale their impact and respond to growing demand for sustainable practices. Bristol Water has provided clean, fresh drinking water to its customers since 1846. To help restore water quality, Bristol Water engineers used Innovyze, an Autodesk company, to calculate how much freshwater could move through the network. Bristol Bridge, Bristol, England. Through strategic investments and partnerships, we’re helping industries transform. By integrating design, data, and automation, we enable smarter, more sustainable practices. We also support policy efforts and certification programs to promote equity and opportunity. Our goal is to foster a future where technology serves everyone, not just a few. I want to thank our customers, employees, and investors for their trust and support. Together, we can continue building a better world—one that is more sustainable, inclusive, and resilient. By staying true to our mission and focusing on outcomes, I’m confident we will achieve what matters most: a brighter future for all.
