The first of these deliveries was to the Calumet Park Fire Department, which welcomed a 2011 HD100 rear-mount tower ladder mounted on an HME Spectr chassis (H-4681). This impressive apparatus comes equipped with a powerful 1,500-gallon-per-minute (GPM) pump and carries 300 gallons of water, making it a critical asset for firefighting operations in the area.
Just down the road, the Glenside Fire District added a 2011 Igniter engine (H-4574) to their fleet. This state-of-the-art vehicle boasts a robust 1,500-GPM pump and carries an impressive 1,000 gallons of water, ensuring they can handle a wide range of emergencies effectively. The Glenside team is thrilled to have this new addition, which they believe will significantly enhance their response capabilities.
Meanwhile, the Huntley Fire District received a 2011 Ferrara engine built on an Ember chassis (H-4717), featuring a 1,500-GPM pump and a 750-gallon water capacity. Engine 944 is already proving its worth during training exercises and initial calls, and the crew couldn't be happier with this latest acquisition.
