Ferrara Fire Apparatus recently delivered three vehicles to different departments, with another unit expected soon. The first of these deliveries was to the Calumet Park Fire Department, which welcomed a 2011 HD100 rear-mount tower ladder mounted on an HME Spectr chassis (H-4681). This impressive apparatus comes equipped with a powerful 1,500-gallon-per-minute (GPM) pump and carries 300 gallons of water, making it a critical asset for firefighting operations in the area. Just down the road, the Glenside Fire District added a 2011 Igniter engine (H-4574) to their fleet. This state-of-the-art vehicle boasts a robust 1,500-GPM pump and carries an impressive 1,000 gallons of water, ensuring they can handle a wide range of emergencies effectively. The Glenside team is thrilled to have this new addition, which they believe will significantly enhance their response capabilities. Meanwhile, the Huntley Fire District received a 2011 Ferrara engine built on an Ember chassis (H-4717), featuring a 1,500-GPM pump and a 750-gallon water capacity. Engine 944 is already proving its worth during training exercises and initial calls, and the crew couldn't be happier with this latest acquisition. It’s clear that Ferrara continues to set high standards in fire apparatus design and performance. These recent deliveries underscore Ferrara’s commitment to providing top-tier equipment to fire departments across the country. Each vehicle not only reflects the unique needs of the departments but also showcases the innovation and durability that Ferrara is known for. As these new units hit the streets, firefighters are eager to put them through their paces and continue serving their communities with excellence.
