Recently, multiple owners in Yunnan, Guizhou, and Guangxi reported to the Central People's Broadcasting Station that their cars were “sick” and the symptoms were as follows: idling jitter, fueling flameout, and even engine failure. Different types of vehicles have the same problem at the same time, which is rare. After the inspection and repair, the owner and the vehicle maintenance personnel all suspected that the quality of the oil caused the vehicle to malfunction.

Exposure of Yunnan Taxi "collectively ill"

The first driver to report the problem was Mr. Shu, a taxi driver in Jinghong City, Xishuangbanna, Yunnan. Last month, he had just changed his new car. After ran for more than 6,000 kilometers, he was able to fill 93 petrol at a private gas station on the evening of the 19th. On the morning of the 20th, the car could not get fire. The person in the 4S shop said that it was an oil problem, but he refused to issue a certificate. He again sent the car to the repair shop. The repair staff said that because there was a gum in the oil, it eventually took more than 1,000 yuan to solve the problem.

There are more than 400 taxis in Jinghong City. In these ten days, at least dozens of vehicles had similar problems. Light vehicles do not ignite when cooled, causing jerkiness; severe engines are damaged.

Secret "Gasoline looks very dirty"

Many private car owners in Kunming also encountered the same problem. The 4S shop sends a text message to the owners, hoping that they will carefully choose gas stations to refuel. Xiong Xing, sales manager of Guangqi Toyota Lianqing World Expo Store in Kunming City, said that the gasoline was extracted from the problem vehicle tank and compared with the standard oil. It was found that there were indeed differences. Xiong Xing said: The color is not the same as standard oil. After it was poured out, there was indeed some gasoline. We looked very dirty. Now we require each team to have a standard bottle of oil, and after the failure of the customer came to look at later, let them pay attention when they refuel, keep the invoice.

FAW-Volkswagen, GM Buick, Chevrolet, and even BMW brand cars have been exposed in Kunming, Guiyang and other places "collectively sick." According to statistics, there are about 400 vehicles in Guiyang's local 4S shops. Nanning, Guangxi also gradually exposed some vehicles after the refueling in private gas stations, a failure.

In response to the industry and commerce departments investigating the frequent occurrence of gasoline quality problems, the two major oil groups could not stand still and began to tighten their external procurement channels. PetroChina has asked the sales company to suspend the extraction of gasoline from social units since February 15.

In view of the current situation, the Trade and Industry Bureau of Kunming City has issued an emergency notice that it will conduct a random inspection of the oils of PetroChina, Sinopec and Qianglin Petrochemical Group under its jurisdiction and will investigate the matter further. The findings of the Guizhou Provincial Trade and Industry Bureau will also be announced in the near future.

The gas station said there was no problem with the oil. The taxi driver Mr. Shu had been refueling at the Weihong gas station in Jinghong city, Yunnan. Jinghong Liangyuan Petrol Station is a gas station belonging to PetroChina. A driver reported that the vehicle could not be set on fire after refueling here. Liangyuan gas station staff said that their oil was transported from the Kunming oil depot to Jinghong through road transport. On the 23rd, Jinghong Quality and Technical Supervision conducted inspection on their oil products and issued a certificate of conformity.

At present, there is no gas station standing up to take responsibility or clarify the matter. The owners are worried about the vehicle maintenance, claims and will not have sequelae and other issues.

Affecting PetroChina Sinopec to raise the threshold for external mining PetroChina and Sinopec's own oil extraction cannot fully meet the needs of the people. In the past, apart from purchasing crude oil from abroad, they will also purchase refined oil from local refineries, and these local refineries The channels of crude oil and their two companies are basically the same, and many are purchased directly from abroad. In this way, some private enterprises will inevitably have oil problems because of their interests.

Wang Zhen, Dean of the School of Business Administration of the University of Petroleum, believes that the monitoring and supervision system for the quality of refined oil products is still not perfect, and quality cannot be ensured through external mining. Because there is no particularly effective monitoring method, disputes over the past due to the quality of oil products have continued.

Huang Wensheng, a spokesperson for Sinopec, said that from Sinopec, the threshold for external mining was raised last year, but because of Sinopec's oil supply, the share of foreign mining accounted for 15%, so it was only narrowing the scope of outsourcing, but it would not be forbidden like PetroChina. The introduction of PetroChina's "Forbidden Mining Order" may, to a certain extent, improve the quality of oil products, but will the reduction in "outside extraction volume" put pressure on oil supply?
