Visteon appointed new financial controller

Visteon Group announced on October 17 the appointment of Martin Welch as the new chief financial officer and executive vice president. Visteon’s former financial director, William Quigley, will leave Visteon at the end of this month.

Quigley joined Visteon in 2004 and held the position of Chief Financial Officer in 2007. Before replacing Quigley as the financial controller of Visteon, Quinle had served as the chief financial officer of Kmart and Federal-Mogul, and had held financial positions at Chrysler from 2006 to 2009 and served as president of Delphi's audit committee.

Visteon spokesman Jim Fisher revealed that the CEO of Visteon believes that Martin Welch has extensive experience in the automotive industry and finances, and Martin Welch replaced William Quigley to maximize the company's interests.

Visteon was independent from the Ford Motor Company in 2000 and specializes in the design and manufacture of air conditioning systems, electronics, automotive interiors, and automotive lighting equipment.
