The 2005 China Drying Equipment Demand Trend Forecasting Forum and Business Consultation Conference, organized by China Chemical Industry News and the China General Machinery Industry Association, took place in Beijing from October 30 to 31. Hosted by China Drying Network, the event brought together industry professionals, including drying equipment experts, renowned economists, and marketing specialists. Nearly 100 representatives from companies attended, among them over 30 CEOs. Notable attendees included Vice President Hao Changjiang of the China Petroleum and Chemical Industry Association, President of China Chemical News Agency, and Yan Yongbin, Director of the Major Equipment Office of the China Machinery Industry Federation and Chairman of the China General Machinery Industry Association.
Currently, there are more than 500 domestic drying equipment manufacturers, with annual market demand exceeding 3 billion yuan. However, the technological capabilities of these manufacturers vary significantly. Some companies with low investment and outdated technology have flooded the market with low-quality, low-cost equipment, damaging the industry's reputation and triggering fierce price competition. Although some manufacturers have ceased production or shifted to other areas due to technological backwardness, the overall industry still faces intense low-level competition. Many leading enterprises remain trapped in this chaotic market environment, limiting their ability to compete effectively on a broader scale.
Participants at the conference expressed hope that the event would drive industrial upgrades, reduce environmental pollution during both production and use, and promote a resource-efficient development path for the Chinese drying equipment sector.
In addition, the selection of outstanding Chinese drying equipment companies, sponsored by the Drying Equipment Branch of the China General Machinery Industry Association, the Chemical Engineering Professional Committee of the China Chemical Industry Association, and China Chemical Industry News, was announced during the event. Twenty-four companies, including Shijiazhuang Gongda Chemical Equipment Co., Ltd., Sanmenxia Zibo Chemical Engineering Co., Ltd., and Shandong Tianli Drying Equipment Co., Ltd., were recognized for their excellence in the field.
