With more than 20 patented inventions, the drive system is not only small and lightweight, but also integrated with variable speed and electric drive to replace the traditional gearbox.

According to Professor Yin Chengliang of the School of Mechanical and Power Engineering of Shanghai Jiao Tong University, the current domestic electric electric bus is still at the initial stage of development. It is a “platter” of various devices, and has not been completely designed and optimized. Environmental protection; on the other hand, the charging infrastructure construction and operation model is still at an exploratory stage. Therefore, there is still a long way to go between the "equipment" of domestic electric buses and the future development of electric vehicles. In the past, electric vehicles for large and medium-sized public services mostly used industrial AC induction motors, and the motors and transmissions were designed independently, resulting in a large system volume. The system uses high-speed permanent magnet motors and is integrated with variable speed, the system is light and small, and oil-water double-layer cooling is used. Technology ensures safe and reliable system operation. “Electric electric buses have a driving power of 80-100 kW, and many patented 'armed' 'green buses' have a maximum driving power of 160-200 kW.”

According to reports, the "green bus" has more than 20 patents in one, and it has systematically solved some of the "bottleneck" encountered in the current domestic electric bus power system. It is one of the important competition varieties in the bus market in the future, and its power performance and fuel economy. Both performance and emission performance can reach the leading domestic level. In the newly invented "green bus", there are more than 20 patents "armed", in line with the development trend of the international electric vehicle power drive system, and become a model for the development of the domestic electric bus driver system. The big advantage of the "green bus" drive system is its small size, light weight, and high power. Due to the integration of variable speed and electric drive, replacing the traditional gearbox, the "green bus" drive system has become smaller in size, while the expansion of the function has been achieved, and the power has also been doubled.

According to reports, the fuel consumption of the “green bus” is more than 30% lower than that of the prototype diesel vehicle. The external charging feature also reduces the fuel consumption by more than 60% compared to the prototype diesel vehicle. The “green bus” drive system has a complete platform structure with a detachable structure. The motors can be used in public services such as city logistics and urban sanitation, and they can be widely used for HEV, Plug-in HEV and pure electric buses. Cars, logistics vehicles, sanitation cars and other large and medium-sized public service vehicles of 9m-12m.

Referring to the demonstration and promotion of the future, Prof. Yin Chengliang told reporters that the “green bus” will follow a promotion model of “campus-campus-city”. Shanghai Jiaotong University as the first pilot unit of Minhang, devaluated 10 buses for use in buses on the campus, and then promoted campus shuttles, and then extended to urban public transport. The models currently participating in the demonstration include electric buses, electric logistics vehicles, electric sanitation vehicles, and connecting vehicles. It is estimated that 100 vehicles will be produced in 2012 and the number will reach 1,000 by 2013.
