Scania presents an upgraded version of the 16.4-liter V8 marine engine

On December 1, 2015, at the 2015 China International Maritime Exhibition held in Shanghai, Scania exhibited an upgraded version of the 16.4-liter V8 marine engine. With a maximum power output of 1,150 hp (846 kW), the new engine delivers exceptional fuel economy, exceptional attendance and superior power-to-weight ratio. Also on display are 13- and 9-litre marine engines and professional marine instrumentation.

Scania's upgraded 16.4-litre V8 marine engine uses high-pressure common rail fuel injection technology, which was first introduced in 2007. With this proven technology, this new marine engine delivers exceptional reliability and attendance to customers and users. Used in combination with Scania's engine management system (EMS), the technology delivers unparalleled fuel efficiency and reduces fuel consumption by 5% compared to previous engine versions.

It is reported that the new V8 engine's output power range is 900 hp (662 kW) to 1150 hp (846 kW), the power is more powerful, as always, the compact size and streamlined appearance, not only easy to install, easier to maintain and repair. The Scania engine is known for its unparalleled power-to-weight ratio and superb torque. This new engine platform further enhances these parameters, which in turn leads to higher productivity.

Scania's upgraded 16.4-litre V8 marine engine has a power range of 900 hp to 1,150 hp, matching the propeller propulsion and jet propulsion systems for superior performance.

The machine is for punching regulation holes on the inner pipe of steel prop.  It uses PLC+ industrial-grade touch-screen mode, set machine electricity and gas control in one. The distance between holes can be adjusted.
