2SK Pump Description:

The 2SK series two-stage water ring vacuum pump and the 2SK-P₁ series air injection vacuum pump unit are high-performance vacuum pumps designed for applications requiring high vacuum levels and fast evacuation speeds. These units feature a compact structure, reliable operation, and ease of maintenance, following the standards set by JB/TQ354-84 for water ring vacuum pumps and compressors.

This system consists of a single-stage air injection pump combined with a two-stage water ring vacuum pump, which can be used separately based on client requirements. The pump is ideal for pumping non-corrosive gases that are insoluble in water and free from solid particles, making it suitable for creating high vacuum in sealed systems.

Working Principle:

The working principle of the two-stage water ring vacuum pump involves the rotation of eccentrically mounted impellers inside the pump casing. Water is thrown outward due to centrifugal force, forming a rotating water ring between the impeller and the casing. As the impeller rotates, the cavity between the impellers expands during the first half-turn, drawing in gas through the suction port. During the second half-turn, the cavity contracts, compressing the gas and expelling it through the discharge port. This cycle creates a continuous vacuum within the system.

The air injection pump operates using a jet injector mechanism. When the two-stage water ring vacuum pump reaches maximum vacuum, it connects with the atmosphere pump. At this point, air or pressurized gas is rapidly drawn into the intake pipe due to the pressure difference. After exiting the nozzle, the gas velocity increases, reducing its pressure and achieving a higher vacuum level than the pump alone. This process continues to draw More gas into the system.

The structural design of the two-stage water ring vacuum pump includes longer and shorter impellers mounted on a shaft, supported by radial ball bearings. The pump is divided into high and low vacuum segments, connected via a communication pipe. The high vacuum segment draws in gas, while the low vacuum segment discharges it. The pump is sealed at both ends and uses make-up water for proper operation.
