You can see the intensity of the flames, the effort the firefighters put in, and the aftermath that follows. It’s always sobering to witness such events, especially when you know how quickly things can change. These images were taken by Josh Boyajian, who has a great eye for capturing the moments that matter most. If you're interested in more stories or photos from the field, feel free to reach out! I was on the scene of a fire in Gary on Tuesday, February 24, 2015, at 6th Avenue and Taney Street. I arrived well after the fire had been extinguished. The fire was in a single-story frame house measuring 25 by 40 feet. When the first units arrived, heavy fire was already visible from the roof. The initial response included Engine 8, Engine 13, Ladder Truck 1, Squad 2, and Medic 404.
