This report comes from Scott Peterson:

A vehicle struck a power pole on Rand Road, just one block west of Arlington Heights Road. There was no entrapment, and the driver remained inside the vehicle until Com-Ed technicians shut off the power. The pole had a transformer installed, which made the situation more dangerous. Com-Ed arrived at the scene within 20 minutes of the fire department's arrival. Once they confirmed it was safe, crews from the Arlington Heights Fire Department carefully extracted the driver and transported them to Northwest Community Hospital.
Units involved: Engine 4, Ambulance 4, Squad 2, and Battalion 1.
